While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’re delighted to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version, including New Game+, new suits and color variants, Photo Mode features, and more! We’re also delighted to announce that the Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack, our charity collab with non-profit Gameheads, will be available for PS5 players in October and PC on launch at no additional cost. As a sequel in a spectacular series, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is both blessed and cursed. Its story of two Spider-Men is a great time and a Spidey fan’s dream to play through as comic book pages are brought to life, elegantly walking the tightrope between light humour and heavier themes. Meanwhile, Insomniac refines a successful formula of combat and web-swinging without revolutionising either in major ways, making them comfy and familiar with just enough new tweaks and abilities to elevate them to fun new heights. The part that feels like it actually needed a radical rethinking is the open world of New York City, which has been made bigger but not better, with an exhausting checklist of mostly repetitious side activities.

Now, in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players alternate between both heroes with the press of a button. Peter’s trying to hold down a new teaching job at Miles’ high school, while Miles has his hands full with college applications. You’ll watch them navigate their intersecting civilian lives while teaming up to protect the city. Following the capture of Wilson Fisk by Spider-Man, a masked gang known as the Inner Demons begins seizing Fisk’s illicit assets. Mary Jane and Spider-Man learn that the Demons are seeking something called Devil’s Breath. With G28 of Officer Jefferson Davis, Spider-Man thwarts a Demon attack.
Each game in the series has a main villain that is set up early in the game, and persists to the end. However, the plot is structured in a way that gives focus to other villains and storylines at the same time. Like Batman having to save Mr. Freeze from The Penguin so he can make a cure for Joker. There’s a way to balance your stories, and Insomniac has yet to do it.
During one of Peter’s missions, fans can locate where Kraven had been testing Gargan’s armor and researching his powers. In Marvel’s Spider-Man, fans fight against The Vulture after Octavius releases several of Peter’s infamous villains out into the city. After Toomes was caught and thrown back into R.A.F.T., Kraven sought out the winged villain for a new hunt. It’s not clear when Kraven divided to hunt Vulture, but Toomes was inevitably killed by the villain without alerting Peter or Miles. While playing as MJ during the zoo sequence in which she attempts to save Dr. Connors, fans can get a glimpse at some villains that Kraven had already hunted, and what he has to say about them. Surprisingly, Kraven admitted that Shocker was tough at first, as he “was fighting to survive,” rather than to win.

Be warned, this article will include major spoilers for Spider-Man 2 and from the comics. For those still playing through the game and are trying to avoid any details before getting there themselves, we will now be delving into major spoiler territory. Cindy Moon is a prominent comic book character whose entrance is hinted at in the ending of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. But who is this young woman precisely, and what part does she play in the larger Spider-Man mythology? Marvel’s Spider-Man’s ending and post-credits scenes set up a sequel in a number of different ways, including introducing a new hero to the roster. Putting together a conservative estimate of what to expect from Sony moving forward, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC port won’t debut until at least 2025, 2 years after its initial release.
There is no multiplayer co-op at all, but you can switch between Miles and Peter whenever you want while roaming the open-world of crime-ridden New York City. Both come with unique, individual abilities, as well as snazzy, iconic suits from the movies and comic books. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is taking players on another amazing adventure across Manhattan but before you start web-swinging and slinging, you’ll need to learn the controls. The latest adventure keeps much of the same button layout as the previous games, though it does include an extensive moves list with some new additions, so it’s worth taking a refresher of the controls.
If it is a 2025 launch that Sony is aiming for, then expect to hear news about the specifications and features by the end of the year at the very least. Until then, PC fans will have to keep on watching PlayStation players complete missions via gameplay footage. It makes sense that they would try to time pre-orders with the holiday season to capitalize on the market. Although there’s no confirmation right now, fans should rest assured that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is still on its way to PC. Of course, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s performance wasn’t totally unexpected. With the popularity of both previous superhero installments, which were also exclusive to the PlayStation line, Sony could comfortably bet the house on these games.
